Visitor subscribers (Inbound)
When you arrive in Sudan, switch on your GSM handset; you will see MTN/AREEBA displayed on your handset screen, you can only use MTN/AREEBA if your own network established the roaming agreement with MTN Sudan, if so it will be displayed on your handset as:
MTN ــ AREEBA ــ Areeba SDN
If your mobile handset displays a different code, you can easily perform a manual selection of the MTN network by following a few simple steps:
Motorola:
Network selection > network search > network selection methods > select manual search.
Network selection > available networks, select MTN/AREEBA network and confirm.
Nokia:
Settings > phone settings > network selection select manual then select MTN/AREEBA.
Ericsson:
Settings > Networks > Search modes > Select manual.
Settings > Networks > Search modes > Network, select MTN/AREEBA.
Siemens:
Settings > network > Configurations > Switch off Automatic network selection.
Settings > network > Configurations > network, select MTN/AREEBA.
