Voice via SMS

The Voice via SMS service allows all MTN “PayAsYouGo” and Pay Monthly subscribers to exchange messages in a new, fun, easy and innovative way replacing the traditional way of sending SMSs.

To send a Voice SMS:

The subscriber must dial 555 followed by the receiver's MTN number (555 MTN mobile number), and record a 30 seconds message after the beep.

The tariff of this service is different from the regular calls tariffs.

To listen to a Voice SMS:

The subscriber will receive a notification each time they receive a Voice SMS. To listen to a Voice SMS, dial 555 (for free).

To manage the Voice SMS inbox:

The subscriber must dial 556, (to listen, reply or delete the stored voice messages in the inbox).

The Service Tariff is 0.06 SDG for a 30-minute message (recording or listening to the stored messages in the inbox).
