At the end of 2002, MTN Sudan was officially licensed to operate its services
by an official letter from the National Telecom Corporation. It granted the use
of GSM (2G) and UMTS (3G), and the use of microwave transmission frequencies.

21 Days of Y’ello Care is a voluntary annual initiative that focuses on
having MTN Sudan staff serving the community with their own ideas & own
hands as well. Since 2007 MTN group started the 21 Days of Y’ello Care to serve
local communities across 23 countries where it operates. All employees come
together to serve their community, from 1st of June to 21st every year.
